  4. Take the written exam (60 questions, 90 minutes, browser-proctored) when you're ready.
  5. Complete the practical exam (40-minute recorded Zoom reading), and earn your CTSA title for life.

How long does the certification process take?

Most candidates complete the process within 2 to 4 weeks. You have 12 months from registration to complete both exams.

What if I don't pass?

You get two attempts at each exam. They're designed to be enough for prepared candidates. In the rare case more are needed, additional pairs are available for $95.

Will you mark my style or method wrong?

No. The exam tests true sidereal astrology broadly, not any one teacher's style. You may use any house system, any set of rulers, and your own reading approach. What is tested is sound reasoning and correct application.

How is the exam graded?

The written exam is automatically graded against published criteria, with expert review before your result is released. The practical exam is scored by an evaluator against the published rubric.

Do I need to take the MTZ course before the exam?

No. The exam is open to anyone who has studied or practiced true sidereal astrology. If you're not sure if you're ready, you can check the Study Guide and Practice Exam above.

What if I disagree with my grade?

You may file a free appeal within 30 days of your result. A reviewer re-checks your answers against the published criteria or rubric.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, refundable before your first attempt or within 14 days of purchase, whichever comes first.
