The Porphyrius house system, named after the 3rd-century philosopher Porphyry, is a quadrant system that divides the space between the angles (Ascendant, IC, Descendant, MC) into three equal parts. It is one of the oldest house systems still in use today.

Ceres is the largest asteroid in the main asteroid belt and was reclassified as a dwarf planet in 2006. In astrology, Ceres represents nurturing, motherhood, agriculture, and how we care for others and ourselves. This calculator displays Ceres alongside the traditional planets.
